Ariadne Pediotaki (GR)

Ariadne Pediotaki’s art is concerned with gender and the perception of the body. She addresses taboos and displays them in the clearest way and without any reservations or preambles, taking a personal yet political standpoint. This standpoint is also present in her drawings made during slow days at work; the repetitive and at times monotonous patterns portray the robotic nature of some workplaces and tasks. Her figures remind the viewer of common comic strips describing the struggles of everyday life. In addition to printmaking, she has experimented with performance and video making while on her journey to finding the perfect medium for her expression.
