Agata Dworzak-Subocz (PL)
Agata Dworzak-Subocz’s thought-provoking screenprints account for detailed and clear patterns that play with concepts of space and dimensions.
Agata Dworzak-Subocz is a Polish artist playing with computer graphics, printmaking and photography. Her fascinating screen prints offer detailed and clear patterns that play with concepts of space and dimensions. Her works might also remind us of pixelated pictures. Despite their many superposed detailed patterns, the pictures communicate an overall minimalistic impression thanks to their monochromatic colour scheme.
Dworzak-Subocz uses the silk screen printing technique, where a screen, made of silk, polyester or nylon is used as a stencil over a wood or aluminum frame. Ink or paint is then forced through the open fabric, with a rubber blade, onto the paper. This results in mesmerising and detailed patterns with defined colours and lines, giving rise to the pixelated meticulous picture.
