The German artist Franziska Peters playfully combines both drawing and painting, concrete and abstract, into one medium. Her stop-motion animation “Infidel” is available in the gallery for screening.
“I am not interested in depicting any “real” world but am more intent on revealing one that potentially lies buried within us—a notion which informs the more poetic aspects of my efforts—and yet remains hidden from sight, obscured by our reliance upon habits and buried beneath the ever-present flood of information with which we are continually inundated.” you can see parallels being drawn towards photography. A sharp focus is the human being and it’s urban environment.
