Kirsten Manczak (DK)
The Danish self-taught artist Kirsten Manczak, (1939) is living currently in Iceland. For more than 23 years she used to live in Eastern Africa. She started her artistic activity in 1995 working with watercolours. 1995 Manczak started experimenting with prints, focusing on feminine models. Her artworks illustrate the human body in movement, especially the female lines. Naked figures appear to connect with achromatic colours of the background, taking the light pink and grey hues. Additional elements as polka dot blankets seem to stick out from the illusion of the human body in movement.
