The abstract and very formal coloured acrylic paintings focus on space and structure, which are reinforced by their minimalist choice of colours and strong contrasts. Two clashing surfaces appear to form a coexistence of calm on one side and vibrancy on the other.

Both surfaces are kept in a symmetrical and even pattern that runs through the entire picture and are often elaborated in series of works with the same format and colour content. The artist uses acrylic paint on canvas, which she applies in small dots to a monochrome background, with a limited colour palette of blue, white and various shades of yellow and pink predominating.

Milène Evers (NL)

Evers uses a variety of compositional variations in her series, incorporating linear and diagonal elements to create a dynamic visual language. The appeal of her compositions is enhanced when the colour tones are distinctly delineated and convey a sense of contrast and visual harmony. Nevertheless, there is a sense of calm and serenity in all her works, which is supported by the uniform pattern. Her works could be interpreted as embodying a dichotomy between tranquillity and vibrancy, the two forces that are a constant in human existence.
