The abstract porcelain wall objects display an aesthetically appealing, elaborate composition. The viewer is invited to explore the intricate shapes, textures and colors and go on a journey of discovery in this small-format world.

The wall sculptures are often compositions of white porcelain squares protruding from the wall and are monochrome and predominantly painted blue with golden details. Each small square of interconnected pieces has slight variations in shape and delicate depictions of birds and other elements. The combination of all these elements together creates a unified and harmonious work. This small format work evokes the feeling of being immersed in a miniature world, inviting the viewer to explore and discover the myriad shapes and objects contained within.

Whilst the works can be seen as a representation of a city map, on closer inspection they elicit the feeling of looking at a cityscape from a bird’s eye view. At the same time, the work remains abstract and can be examined from an aesthetic point of view in terms of structures, figures and colours. The imaginary representation of the topography of a small town can be explored, with the complexity of contemporary urban planning in the attempt to merge nature and the intensity of urban life.
