Kristín Pálmadóttir (IS)
Pálmadóttir’s main artistic approach is to display the patterns of the earth by taking close up pictures to work with. “What interests me could for example be the surface of a stone or frozen earth”, she says. In Pálmadóttir’s artistry she works with the photos she takes, transfers them onto light sensitive steel plates and then etches them. The combination of photographs and graphic prints is a huge part of her artwork. “I find inspiration in the variation of the Icelandic nature”, Pálmadóttir says.
