“Luca Granato is a multimedia artist whose artistic practice, as well as his video ‘HOEING THE SEA’, is characterized by a minimalist aesthetic and composition in which static and dynamic elements merge seamlessly, giving the impression of watching an image with moving elements in a loop.  The video questions human interaction with nature and encourages us to reflect on our role. It is almost painfully clear that there are no visual escape routes in this video sequence, forcing the viewer to question their own point of view and the values they associate with it.”
