Mira Mink (FI)
Mira Mink is a writer, teacher and translator who uses videos, photography and poetry, taken with her mobile phone, as mediums to share her personal thoughts and feelings, in the format of a digital diary.
She creates captivating works focusing on personal experiences, such as dreamy and romantic moments as well as the subconscious, through contemporary urban landscape.
Words and images are combined in harmony and complement each other. Her poems are confessional, tender, reminiscent of short love letters. At the same time, location is connected to her writing, her images are snap shots of her everyday life in the city. Both mediums enhance the atmosphere of Mink’s personal confession, opening a window to her world.
Mira Mink
Mink’s words are blending with the pictures of the city. The poems are her memories captured in the urban landscape and vice versa. The photographs are taken with her mobile phone, fast and spontaneous; as is her poetry. These memories, reflected in images and writing, are combined as necessary components, creating a unique visual result.
